CELTA/DELTA Trainer

Svitlana Bulkina is the Director of Teacher Training as well as a full-time teacher trainer at Grade Education Centre. Over the course of her English teaching career, she’s done the CELTA, the DELTA and her MA in Teaching and Translation. She completed her University of Cambridge DELTA at Teaching House New York in 2012 and started her new life as a teacher trainer and she absolutely loves it. She has done many CELTA courses all over the world (the U.S., Europe, Thailand).

Our teacher trainer has been teaching for more than nine years. After graduation from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine and studying at New School University, New York and Stanford, Palo Alto, the U.S. and en route to a career in translation, she discovered that she loved teaching English much more than translating from and into it. Despite her education and experience, she found it absolutely necessary to do an internationally recognized certificate course in order to pursue her career in teaching. That’s when she obtained her CELTA and found her calling.

She has taught general, business and academic English to students of different ages in mono- and multi-lingual classes. She has also taught TOEFL and Cambridge examination classes. Svitlana has worked in a number of countries including Ukraine, Poland, Turkey, Georgia, Latvia, Thailand and the U.S.
