Jennifer has been teaching English since 1997, starting off in ESOL, working with refugees in Manchester, her home city, for the council. She taught in Europe and then in the Middle East, where she became an IELTS and Cambridge examiner. Returning to the UK, she ran summer residential English courses for teenagers and spent the rest of the year examining, including for the English Speaking Board. Although she enjoyed examining, she often found herself wanting to teach candidates rather than just test them. In 2017, she decided to return to the classroom, this time as a teacher-trainer, eager to share her knowledge and experiences. She began with a British Council/UNICEF project in Jordan and later obtained CELTA and Trinity Certificates, teaching in several countries. Jennifer finds great fulfillment in her work because she loves helping people develop, and she appreciates the variety that each day brings.
