CELTA

The most valuable aspect of the course was the trainers and how supportive they were. I am very fortunate to have had two trainers with different approaches, as this allowed me to see the variety of ways of working on each language skill and the diversity of approaches.

They taught us to think about the purpose of each exercise and each task in the lesson, to analyse learning outcomes, and gave us a clear framework that I continue to rely on in my professional development.

The workshops and insightful feedback from Grade trainers helped me structure my knowledge and significantly sharpen my methodological skills. The reflection built into lesson planning and written assignments proved to be extremely valuable.

As a result, I now run my own classes more effectively and conduct Quality Control observations with greater confidence, supporting the professional growth of teachers in my team.

Equally important, the course taught me how to structure lessons more effectively and work with groups more confidently. Thanks to CELTA and the insightful guidance from the Grade trainers, I now feel much more confident in the classroom, and my lessons have become significantly more effective.

What I enjoyed most was teaching groups. Although teaching practice initially felt like the most stressful part of the course, I soon began to really enjoy the process. With each lesson, I felt myself growing as a teacher.

My lessons became much more structured, and I developed a clear understanding of what works and how to adapt materials to specific learner needs. I also started paying much more attention to feedback. The course boosted my confidence and made lesson planning significantly easier.

Completing the CELTA course was both a highly valuable and comfortable experience for me. The programme was clearly structured and intensive, while remaining logical and easy to follow. All topics were explained professionally and to the point, which made the learning more manageable.

I would especially like to highlight the high level of trainer expertise — their deep knowledge, attention to detail, and genuine support were evident throughout the course. The organisation was transparent and well-managed, and the learning process was truly effective. I would gladly recommend this course to future CELTA trainees.

Completing CELTA at Grade was an intensive but highly rewarding experience. I gained many insights into lesson structure, group work, and learners’ needs. What I appreciated most during the CELTA course was how well communication was organised—between trainers, trainees, and the administrative team. This made an already demanding period much easier to manage.

The most noticeable improvement in my teaching after CELTA was the feedback stage. It was during this part of the course that I was shown my weaker areas and given practical tools to improve them—tools that I still actively use in my lessons today.

I am grateful to Grade for the opportunity to complete the CELTA course in a comfortable environment alongside fellow teachers and trainers. Everything was well organised, clearly structured, easy to follow, and genuinely engaging.

I did CELTA at Grade in 2023 and was extremely satisfied with the entire process — from submitting my application to receiving the certificate. During the interview, Lidiya Simak advised me to set aside all my time for the course — and that was the key to my success.

The course was intensive but very practical. I would like to highlight the professionalism and genuine care of the trainers, Andrii Pigariev and Sarah Smith: excellent inputs, quality feedback and real help with lesson planning. For me, CELTA was a turning point in my professional growth.
