CELTA/DELTA Terms & Conditions

Booking Conditions

By making bookings with Grade Education Centre, you agree to these terms and conditions.

Deposit

All courses require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.
For CELTA courses, the deposit is 7,000 UAH.
For DELTA courses, the deposit amount depends on the module:

  • Module 1 – 5,000 UAH
  • Module 2 – 10,000 UAH
  • Module 3 – no deposit required.

Subject to a small leeway, to allow for funds to be transferred, until the deposit is paid, the ‘booking’ remains a quotation or an allocation, and the place(s) are not confirmed; they may be sold to another person. A deposit may be transferred to another course only once, and the request to transfer must be made before the original course start date.

Course availability and cancellation

Every attempt will be made to place trainees on the course of their choice. However, we cannot guarantee a particular course and timetable until the trainee has taken an interview. In the event of insufficient applications for a course, our centre reserves the right to offer an alternative course of equal value or a refund. In the event that the educational services cannot be provided due to the fault of the Provider, the Client shall be refunded 100% of the payment if the services have not been provided, or the remaining amount for the portion of services that was not delivered.

Age

Our minimum age is 18 years.

Attendance and holidays

CELTA trainees are expected to attend their classes regularly and on time. Trainees forfeit course fees if they are late, absent, or leave before the course ends.

Code of Conduct

The school reserves the right to terminate an enrolment without issuing a refund, where a participant’s behaviour is such that it would be unreasonable for them to continue their studies. The CELTA course is a Pass/Fail course, and that if you receive a 'Fail' grade, the result cannot be changed, and that the course fee will not be refunded.

Special offers

Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively to existing bookings and only one discount can be applied to a booking.

Your right to Cancel

We understand that you may want to change your course dates before the course starts. Changes made to start dates are dependent on availability. Should you need to cancel or postpone your study the following terms apply for the refund of tuition fees paid for Cambridge CELTA courses:

  • Up until 15 working days (3 weeks) before the start of the course – full refund of tuition fees paid, excluding the deposit, or up to 12-month postponement
  • Between 15 (3 weeks) and the start of the course – 50% refund of tuition fees paid, excluding the deposit, or up to 12-month postponement
  • Once the course starts – no refund, no postponement.

Any refunds will be paid up to 30 (thirty) days following the date of cancellation. Refunds are only payable to the bank account used for the original booking or card. Any courses that are postponed and then subsequently cancelled are bound by the same terms and conditions that would have applied at the time of the initial course postponement.

Cambridge English CELTA assessment fee

With Grade Education Centre there are no hidden fees: you will need to pay the Cambridge English CELTA assessment fee (£139), which is set by Cambridge English in addition to your course fee with us.

First, you pay for the course, and then during the course, you will need to pay the Cambridge English fee (£139).

Teaching Qualification courses for candidates who are in Russia or Belarus

Cambridge University Press and Assessment has taken the decision to suspend all new activity in Russia and Belarus while the war in Ukraine continues. Сandidates who are in Russia or Belarus are not allowed to be accepted onto the Teaching Qualification Courses.
